Robert Schwebel is a psychologist, author, and the creator of a non 12-step program called “Seven Challenges”.

Dr. Schwebel’s “Seven Challenges” are a practical guide for people, young and old, to really understand their relationship with drugs and alcohol and whether they’re happy with that relationship or not. Dr. Schwebel says that – to the extent that people decide (for themselves) that they have a problem with drugs or alcohol – not only are they NOT powerless (as AA and other 12-step programs might have them believe) but that they have complete agency to choose the life that they want, and decide how to move away from destructive behavior and towards an overall balanced and good life

Zach and Dr. Schwebel discuss these principles in todays podcast – enjoy!
