Overcome your
Pornography Addiction permanently

With Dr. Stanton Peele's online Life Process Program you CAN

Are you finding it difficult to control your use of pornography?  Porn addiction affects all aspects of one’s life and with your relationships with others, no matter how much we convince ourselves that the problem is contained.

Have you tried unsuccessfully to quit or limit your use of pornography? With the Life Process Pornography Program we do not ask you to stop lusting or to become sexually sober. Nor do we ask you to attend public meetings to talk about your ‘problem’.  Our recovery program will provide you with the help needed to overcome your addiction on your own and from the privacy of your own home.

Pornography seems like the “dirtiest” of secret addictions. We hide it just as we turn to porn to hide from life. To hide from, or avoid, relationships with real people, from going out in the light and the world to enjoy activities, nature, interactions, accomplishments.

There is an alternative life for you and way to fulfill the urges that drive you to porn. LPP makes no judgments — those are rather for you to make. You have other values we will help you to uncover and to fulfill that create an alternative life free of porn — one which we believe you will adopt because, quite simply, you find that it is more fun — as well as being more meaningful.

Questions about pornography addiction

What is porn addiction?

Porn addiction is a relationship or an involvement with porn that provides some immediate gains or relief while simultaneously reducing your involvement in other important relationships and activities. Although porn addiction is widely recognized as a significant and growing problem, the DSM-5 does not currently classify pornography as an addiction.

Am I addicted to porn?

Only you know the answer to this question. Weighing the negatives of using porn with the positives of using porn in your life space can serve as a guide. When the negatives are outweighing the positives and yet you feel that you cannot stop, you may be addicted to porn. If porn is taking up lots of your ‘mental space’ and distracting you from other important areas of your life, and you are finding it difficult to moderate or stop using then you may have a porn addiction problem.

Why is porn so addictive and why are porn problems so common?

Porn in and of itself is no more addictive than other engaging, sometimes pleasurable activities, substances or behaviors.  Part of the likelihood of porn addiction is due to its high accessibility: on phones etc., so that it can become totally engrossing. Technology makes sexual content of every kind instantly accessible. Rampant porn use is impacting the very nature of intimacy and sexual expression in modern American relationships, starting at an early age.

What are the effects of porn addiction?

Some common complaints of negative, excessive, addictive porn use can include; increased guilt and shame after using, decreased attention to daily tasks and less attention devoted to family and other daily relationships, including children as well as partners, and increased need for stronger or more hard core porn content.
