About The Life Process Program (LPP)

Our foundation is rooted in the unique Life Process Model of addiction, a brainchild of Stanton Peele who has over 40 years experience in the addiction field.

First introduced to the world in his groundbreaking book, “The Truth About Addiction and Recovery” (co-authored with Archie Brodsky and Mary Arnold in 1991), this approach has garnered global acclaim as a compelling alternative to the traditional 12-Step, disease-centric addiction theories.

Dr. Peele inaugurated the Life Process Program as an 8-week residential treatment program in Iowa in 2008. In 2011, Dr Peele partnered with Daithi Conlon to create a digital expansion of the program.

Daithi incorporated The Life Process Program as a business in 2014 and working together Stanton and Daithi not only transformed the Life Process Program for a broader online audience but also assembled a team of verified and approved coaches who understand the non-disease approach to addiction.
Clients of the online program can embark on their journey independently or under the guidance of one of our experienced and vetted coaches.

I am the operations director and technical lead for the Life Process Program. With the help of a team of skilled designers and developers, I have built a platform for delivering the program in an online format.

Working in partnership with Stanton, I coordinate with the coaches, the online marketing team and client services team.

I am the resident host of our weekly online group meetings (which all our members are encouraged to attend), and I am an active member and moderator on our private members-only Facebook Group.
